Rejected List

Locked. Only an administrator can edit this entry.

A list to keep track of subjects prohibited to write about. Please respect their preferences.

Clause 3 of the Disclaimer to Volume I is not a formality:

  1. all information in this encyclopedia has been written with consent and if not, should be immediately taken down upon request;

Someone who declines has declined. This page exists so that the next person who has the same idea finds out before they write, instead of the subject finding out afterwards.

Before You Write About Anyone

Check this list. If their name is here, stop. Do not write an entry, section, nor mention in someone else's entries or footnotes.

Adding a Name

Add one name per line, with the date:

- Full Name — 2026-08-22

Do not add reasons, explanation, and commentary.

Examples:

  • "did not want the GS25 thing written up"
  • "was annoyed about it"

A reason turns a protective list into a record of what a person was upset about, which is the exact harm the consent rule exists to prevent. If you find yourself wanting to explain an entry on this list, please do not do so unless you are the subject and explicitly want to do so.

Being on this list is not an accusation and says nothing about the person. It is a preference, recorded so that it is respected.

Removing a Name

If someone changes their mind, remove the line. They can do it themselves, or ask any editor to do it. No one need justify coming off the list, and no one should be asked to.

Do not remove a name for any other reason. Removing someone else's line so you can write about them is vandalism.

Asking Again

Do not ask multiple times. See How to Write an Entry for how to ask the first time, and Housekeeping for what happens when something goes up anyway.
